The June 7 Casa Pacifica Angels Wine and Food Festival on isn't just about a great afternoon of sampling excellent wines, microbrews, specialty foods and other delectable fare from top winemakers and restaurants from throughout the region.

The annual event at California State University Channel Island's campus will also offer a collection of makeyouwanttoshakeyourbody live musical entertainment.

Benise, an annual attraction in his own right at the fundraising festival that benefits Casa Pacifica—a shelter for physically and emotionally abused children— will once again offer his smooth flamenco guitar rhythms Through his fiery melodies and highenergy rhythms, Benise never fails to capture his audience.

The Spazmatics will also be vibing their special retro sounds again this year with the ultimate collection of 1980s songs by artists such as Oingo Boingo, Duran Duran, Thomas Dolby, Billy Idol and more.

A very special attraction for those guests who purchase VIP tickets is exclusive admission to the Four Seasons Hotel VIP Lounge which will be featuring the classy, smooth music of the band Sound Effect.

Casa Pacifica is a crisis care and residential treatment facility for abused, neglected, or at-risk children serving primarily Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

To help the shelter meet its operating costs, the Camarillo Acorn will donate 40 percent of the money raised during its voluntary subscription drive.

Camarillo Acorn readers will find a subscription form on page 4 of today's paper.

The cost is $25 per year; the offer is limited to residents who already receive the newspaper.

The voluntary subscriptions will also help the Camarillo Acorn defray escalating printing and delivery costs and will ensure Camarillo continues to receive the news coverage it deserves.
