Wine Tasting Event is Annual Fundraiser for Casa Pacifica

Casa Pacifica will present its annual Angels Wine & Food Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. Sun., June 7 on the grounds of California State University Channel Islands.

The event will include culinary creations of fine restaurants, caterers and bakeries from Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.

Wines will be served from award-winning wineries from throughout California and independent microbreweries will offer tastings.

Continuous live entertainment will include flamenco guitarist Benise and the Spazmatics, A Tribute to the 80s.

The festival will also have a silent auction.

The event is a fundraiser for Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families in Camarillo, the largest nonprofit provider of children's mental health services in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

A new feature this year is the Best in Fest Culinary Competition.

The contest, showcasing Ventura County's top chefs and restaurants, will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges. Tickets are available online at www.cpwineandfoodfestival .com.

Tickets are $75 in advance, $90 at the door and $200 for VIP tickets, which offer early entry to the event, valet parking and access to the VIP Lounge.
